About your Las Cruces masonry contractor

How I came to this work
I learned masonry from my father. I was mixing mortar and carrying block on his jobs long before he let me lay a course myself, and by then I'd watched him take his time on every wall he built. I started this business in Las Cruces in 2013, and I still work the way he did, slow enough to get it right.
A lot of what we see around here is older brick, stone and adobe that's been patched more than once, so careful repair is what we're best known for, along with new walls and paving that are built right underneath. My dad used to say the part you can't see is the part holding everything else up, and I've never found a reason to doubt him. That's why I care most about the footing, the base, the flashing and the drainage. You'll find the rest of what we do on our home page.

What you can expect working with us
One person from estimate to finish
I come out to look at every job myself, and I'm there with our crew when the work starts, so nothing you told me gets lost between the estimate and the work. You won't be explaining your wall twice to someone new.
We find the cause before the repair
Before we touch a crack or a worn joint, we work out why the masonry is failing, because a patch over a wet wall or a shifting footing usually cracks again. Some of that we only learn once a wall is opened, and I'll tell you so before we start.
Estimates that show what gets buried
Our written estimates spell out the base, footing, flashing and drainage, the parts you won't see once we pack up. That way you know what you're paying for underneath, and you can compare it against other bids.
Historic homes planned from the first visit
If your house is on the Las Cruces historic register, we plan the work around that review from the first visit, so it's part of the plan and not a surprise halfway through. When you're ready to talk it over, call (575) 222-9031 or send us a request.
Licensed and insured in New Mexico
New Mexico contractor license
The state's Construction Industries Division says anyone doing construction contracting in New Mexico has to be licensed, and contracting without one is against the law. We're licensed and fully insured, and when a job needs a permit, we find out which office handles your address, take care of the application and set up the inspections.
